My artwork is a perspective drawing created with an artline pen during my first semester. It depicts a log cabin nestled within a dense forest, where I focused on using linear perspective and detailed shading to bring out depth and texture. The bold use of black ink highlights shadows and natural details, while cross-hatching and linework emphasize the cabin’s rugged, aged look.
I designed the composition to guide the viewer’s eye from the uneven, detailed foreground to the cabin’s sharp structure, creating a focal point. The towering trees in the background add a sense of isolation and mystery. This piece explores how lines and shading can create realistic, dramatic scenes and convey a moody atmosphere.
